When Timothy was just a young boy, living near the Uganda/Kenya border, his father was murdered and his mother beaten during a tribal clash. Timothy, frightened at witnessing the violence against his parents, hid in the bushes for several days until he was found by a Good Samaritan who brought him back home, only to discover his family residence had been burned to the ground. Learning that Timothy’s mother had survived and was hospitalized, a neighbor agreed to temporarily care for him. However, after Timothy's mother was released from the hospital, she was unable to care for him, having no home and struggling to recuperate and adapt to life as a hemiplegic. A local pastor brought Timothy to the Children’s Centre where he finally found a stable and safe home. Timothy has successfully completed high school and is pursuing a certificate welding and fabrication.
